my first real lesson plan
I would say that 2E from the NETS*T standards can apply to this assignment. This lesson plan addresses plan strategies to manage student learning in a technology-enhanced environment. The use of the Excel program shows that the lesson is applying technology to develop students’ higher order skills and creativity (NETS 3C). The media needed to complete this lesson applies to using multiple methods of evaluation to determine students’ appropriate use of technology (NETS 4C).
I learned that there are many different sites you can use to plan your lessons. So many teachers want to help others and show this by posting their lessons on a website. I used several websites to help with ideas on this lesson. I searched for the topic on budget lessons and several different articles came up. I downloaded a couple of resources like the ASSURE Model, I also learned that there are so many aspects of planning a lesson. “The ASSURE Model is an example of one popular educational model that teachers can use to plan for technology integration into instruction. Planning is important on all levels from the district, to the classroom, to planning individual lessons. Using The ASSURE Model will organize and prepare lesson plans in classrooms with the help of technology.” (Alen, June, 2004) There are also so many variables that you have to consider when creating a lesson plan.
I liked learning and finding out for myself that there is an abundance of resources for teachers. It is very comforting to know that as a teacher, I will have support as long as I know how to search and ask for it!
